Shannon Finley
Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor of science in business administration, Shannon began her career in the direct marketing industry with DME Delivers, a leader in one-to-one targeted direct marketing solutions. Hired as an account coordinator, Shannon quickly showed her merit and earned a position as an in-house sales representative.
Seizing an opportunity elsewhere, Shannon joined the direct marketing team for The Daytona Beach News-Journal, one of the oldest independently owned newspapers in the nation at the time. During this time, Shannon chose to expand upon her passion for volunteerism and public policy and earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado.
Shannon returned to DME Delivers as a senior account manager after completing her degree. She functioned in multiple capacities, from overseeing production at the Daytona Beach campus to estimating and assisting with strategy development, list acquisition, and data analysis.
Shannon joined Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and Florida Hospital Oceanside (AdventHealth Daytona Beach) as the marketing and public relations manager in 2010. Three years later, Shannon was promoted to director of marketing. In this role at Florida Hospital, she developed strategic marketing plans based on local service line priorities and enhanced community outreach efforts. She collaborated with physician liaisons and practice management teams to increase hospital and physician practice patient census.
In May 2018, Shannon joined John Knox Village of Central Florida as their marketing and communications specialist. As such, Shannon oversees the development and execution of marketing and tactical plans, coordinates marketing collateral and social media, and manages marketing automation and the CRM system.
In keeping with her spirit of public volunteerism, Shannon has previously served on the boards of directors for the Junior League of Daytona Beach and Ormond MainStreet.
Shannon was named Member of the Year for the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association in 2014.
With over 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, Shannon combines strategic thinking, data-driven analysis, and effective communication to deliver results.
Shannon’s mission is to use her marketing and communications skills to build positive relationships, increase brand awareness, and drive growth for the organizations she serves. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in healthcare administration at Oklahoma State University.
